There are several ways you can help Seeding Labs achieve its mission.
Your donation can be made online or through the mail and we will use it to support the labs and programs below and meet the needs of our scientists around the world.
Seeding Labs is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization (federal tax ID 10-8267613).
If you prefer to mail a check, our address is: Seeding Labs, 281 Summer St. 5th fl. Boston, MA 02210.
Seeding Labs works with dozens of labs on several continents. Currently, much of our work is focused in Africa. We select our program participants on a variety of criteria, but one of the most important requirements is that the lab has a heavy teaching component.
We believe that it’s critical to support research programs that are developing the next generation of scientists. Learn more about some of our labs right here and remember, you can make a difference with even a small contribution.
What makes Seeding Labs unique is our focus on getting surplus equipment redistributed to labs that need it. Sometimes though, it’s not about surplus – it’s about getting new supplies to the same locations.
We’re talking about critical items such as test tubes and petri dishes, as well as microscopes and other more specialized equipment. Your donation, regardless of size, will help us get much need supplies and life changing equipment into the right hands.

If you are a manufacturer of lab equipment or a research facility that has surplus equipment, please consider donating to Seeding Labs. There are specific types of equipment that we look for regularly and other types that we either cannot accept or have use for, so take a look at the Donate Equipment page for details.
Starting a lab in a developing country or keeping one functioning well is a difficult task. You can help scientists and students keep working, and discovering, through your donation.
