Seeding Labs Programs

Equipment Transfer Program

This program represents the heart of the Seeding Labs’ mission. Laboratories that need equipment to conduct their research follow a formal application process that is reviewed by our staff. We then match those needs with manufacturers and U.S. based labs that have donated surplus equipment. It is important to note that the Equipment Transfer program is not free for participating labs – it is a formal, well-managed process for serious scientists in need of assistance.

Fellows Program

This program brings highly-qualified research scientists from around the world to the United States so they can update their skill sets and expand their network of colleagues and collaborators. Fellows are chosen through an application process from a select number of our partner universities. Priority is given to scientists who are highly involved in training students, so that when they return home from the U.S. they will disseminate what they learn to a wide audience of younger scientists.

Ambassador Program

We believe scientists make superb diplomats. This program matches U.S. scientist ambassadors with host institutions in the developing world to share their skills to students and faculty, meet colleagues and share ideas. When they return to their home institutions they will be connectors, painting a picture of labs around the world for their peers and introducing them to others overseas with shared research interests.
