Seeding Labs is grateful to announce that we have received a short-term stabilizing gift from the Anchor Point Foundation, covering much of the losses generated by recent cuts to USAID.
The foundation’s co-founders, Brad Feld and Amy Batchelor, recognized the importance of our innovative, transformative work to strengthen communities around the world. The two felt that our mission aligned with their focus on helping “organizations and leaders creatively solve problems in their communities around the world.”
Seeding Labs CEO Melissa P. Wu, PhD, connected with the two after attending the 2025 MIT Women’s Conference, which Anchor Point Foundation sponsored. “When we met Melissa, we understood that foreign aid cuts run deep,” said Feld and Batchelor. “When the government reneged on its commitment, we felt we should step in and support what is a truly worthy and forward-thinking mission.”
“I am both grateful and inspired by the Anchor Point Foundation’s show of support,” said Wu. “With so much uncertainty in international development, it is exciting to see them recognize our approach as innovative and timely.”
With an uncertain future for international development, support from Anchor Point Foundation is especially crucial for our mission. We are grateful for their forward thinking and willingness to support science for development.
