Lack of capacity remains one of the biggest challenges for scientists in developing countries. The best training in the world still needs to be carried out on actual equipment, yet too many researchers simply cannot carry out their projects because the tools are not available to them.
Our Instrumental Access program helps institutions overcome these challenges, providing departments with quality, donated equipment at scale.
In 2026 alone, we have already supported 9 institutions, building the capacity for science in 6 developing countries. This makes the first quarter our most prolific quarter ever. Altogether, we have already shipped over 24 tons of equipment that would cost over $6M to replace.
And we’re just getting started!
In a short time, the following departments will have greater access to essential scientific instruments:
- Virology Research Center, Malawi University of Science and Technology, Malawi
- Department of Sciences and Techniques of Animal Production, Université d’Abomey-Calavi, Benin
- Genetics, Biotechnology, and Seed Science Unit, Université d’Abomey-Calavi, Benin
- Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, Kisii University, Kenya
- Department of Experimental Pathology Immunology and Microbiology, American University of Beirut, Lebanon
- Research and Clinical Labs, Botswana Harvard Health Partnership, Botswana
- Department of Animal Sciences, Muni University, Uganda
- Department of Pharmacology, Delta State University, Nigeria
- Department of Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Assiut University, Egypt
- Laboratory Directorate, Joint Clinical Research Centre, Uganda
