On September 8, 2022, Melissa P. Wu, PhD, CEO of Seeding Labs, proudly accepted the Boston Business Journal’s Corporate Citizenship Community Collaboration Award, alongside Melissa Hackmeier, Global Head of Employee & Community Engagement at MilliporeSigma.
The award, jointly given to Seeding Labs and MilliporeSigma, recognizes the dynamic partnership between the two organizations.
“Our partnership is unique. As it has evolved and expanded throughout the years, the core tenet has been the trust, transparency and collaboration we have built together,” said Melissa Hackmeier. “That foundation has allowed our engagement with Seeding Labs to be multi-faceted and extend throughout the company.”
For almost 10 years, MilliporeSigma has supported the work of Seeding Labs through equipment donations, financial support, and as the founding sponsor of the TeleScience website.
Through these collaborations, MilliporeSigma has honed their commitment to sparking curiosity in the next generation of scientists and supporting them no matter what part of the world they work in.
“For nearly a decade, MilliporeSigma has been on the front lines of innovative corporate-nonprofit relationships,” said Melissa Wu. “Their investment in our mission has been crucial to our success as a nonprofit, and I’d like to think that our work together has been as beneficial to MilliporeSigma as well.”
In a ceremony highlighting so many effective corporate-nonprofit partnerships, the relationship between Seeding Labs and MilliporeSigma was featured as one of four honorees for this award.
At the ceremony, Dr. Wu highlighted award’s importance for Seeding Labs, saying, “We are honored that the Boston Business Journal has seen the transformative power of our longstanding partnership with MilliporeSigma.”
