Why Seeding Labs?
Despite large student and faculty numbers, the department has only one laboratory with minimal equipment and supplies financed through student fees. Most practical teaching takes place at a neighboring lab, but this independent research institute charges a steep fee. Equipment is needed to support practical teaching as well as graduate student and faculty research.
