Seeding Labs is excited to announce that Dr. Harvey Lodish, Dr. Chad R. Jackson, and Aravinda Souza have all joined the Board of Directors, helping to guide and strengthen our mission of empowering every scientist to change the world.

Harvey Lodish, PhD, has dual appointments as Professor of Biology and Professor of Biological Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a Founding Member of the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research and has served as the Founding Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center since 2007. Dr. Lodish is widely regarded for his pioneering research on erythropoietin, the hormone that controls the production of red blood cells. He is a Member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences as well as a founder of 11 biotechnology companies including Genzyme, Millennium, and Rubius.
Chad R. Jackson, PhD, is a neuropharmacologist, entrepreneur, and science policy professional with over two decades of research and development experience. Dr. Jackson is currently the Director of the Preclinical Translational Research program for the Foundation Fighting Blindness. This program accelerates the movement of preclinical research toward clinical use through proactive management and industry level advising, to ultimately drive the research that will lead to preventions, treatments, and vision restoration for degenerative retinal diseases.
Aravinda Souza is an experienced global marketing and communications professional who serves as the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Catalant Technologies. She has worked with technology companies around the world to amplify their brand presence and strategic thought leadership. An advocate for greater diversity in healthcare and technology, Ms. Souza also serves on the Leadership Board of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

With the three new members, the Seeding Labs Board of Directors contains 12 leaders from the life sciences and healthcare sectors, all of whom share a dedication to improving access to essential equipment for the scientific community worldwide.
